Brian Kanof is an established concert photographer. He has photographed literally thousands of performances since his first, Bill Cosby, 1n 1967. He was the “official” photographer of the Kerrville Folk Festival for 18 years, and has recently shot concerts for Willie Nelson with Jessica Simpson and Merle Haggard. During the past three years he has shot album cover photography for Billy Joe Shaver, Tom Russsell, Kinky Friedman James McMurtry and Willis Alan Ramsey. His studio in El Paso is large enough to accomodate a symphony orchestra and is located on the edge of downtown El Paso. In March of 2007, he shot the “Last Of The Breed” tour for Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Ray Price. Kanof’s photo archives of early Austin-Sound/Progressive Country performers are frequently accessed by authors and music publications.
