The 2025 West Valley Fire Department Angel Fund is just around the corner!
This FREE public event will bring our community together with food trucks, vendors, a car show, a firefighter challenge, cornhole and volleyball tournaments, and plenty of family-friendly activities. We’re still accepting vendors, food trucks, volleyball teams, and car show participants—join us and be part of something meaningful.
The oath of service of every public servant has always been to help others in their most vulnerable moments. That spirit is what drives the West Valley Fire Department and inspires the purpose of the Angel Fund.
This year, we are deeply honored to announce our 2025 Angel Fund Recipient: Abigail Azcarate. Abigail, 32, is the sister of active West Valley firefighter Joanna Muñoz. Earlier this year, Abigail was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)—a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her journey is just beginning, with chemotherapy, surgery, and possibly radiation ahead. She is young, courageous, and a true fighter.
The 2025 Angel Fund will stand with Abigail and her family during this battle. We invite our community to rally behind her with the same love, encouragement, and support that she and her family have always shown us.
