See a project for saving water by penetrating deep into the Hueco Aquifer on the eastside of the Franklin Mountains. El Paso Water has a long history for water conservation in this place of little water.
Meet at the Painted Dunes Golf Course, 12000 McCombs, at 10 am for a short introduction to EPWU’s water conservation efforts and the Enhanced Arroyo Project.
Then drive to site and walk and talk for 45 minutes. Be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring 1 or more liters of water. Besides the arroyo project, enjoy a drone’s view of conservation efforts above the Hueco Bolson.
