The Life of Brian (Maguire) follows internationally acclaimed Irish artist Brian Maguire as he paints on the frontlines of conflict around the world —from Sudan and Syria to São Paulo and Ciudad Juárez. Some of the film was shot in Juárez, where Maguire has spent years portraying lives marked by violence and resilience. Local audiences may remember his cross-border exhibition Scenes of Absence, co-sponsored by the Rubin Center and the Museo de Arte de Ciudad Juárez in 2019.
