THE EXCHANGE JAZZ AROUND TOWN – 1922 BAR The Jazz Exchange continues its Jazz Around Town Music Series in partnership with select venues across El Paso—supporting artists, enriching the city’s culture, and creating inviting spaces for the community to experience live jazz. Join us for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly events throughout the city. Music lovers, mark your calendars—and musicians, bring your instruments. Many nights include open jam sessions.

1922 BAR 1st & 3rd Thursdays | 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM Hidden in the heart of downtown El Paso, 1922 Bar brings a timeless speakeasy atmosphere to Jazz Around Town. Known for its expertly crafted cocktails, intimate setting, and historic charm, 1922 offers a one-of-a-kind listening room experience for jazz lovers.

These evenings feature thoughtfully curated live jazz in an intimate environment—perfect for guests looking to enjoy the music up close in a classic, downtown setting. Specials: Half-price bottles of wine all day!

What to Expect Jazz Around Town at 1922 Bar is a listening-focused jazz show, not background music. Performances are presented for guests who come to actively listen and engage with the music.

The night is typically presented in two sets:

First Set: A featured house band performs a prepared set. Second Set: An open jam session, welcoming musicians from the community to sit in.

Guests are kindly asked to keep conversation to a minimum while the band is performing. The musicians have prepared their music with care, and your attention helps create the intimate atmosphere that makes this series special.

Admission & Reservations Admission: Free. Reservations are strongly recommended to secure preferred seating. All RSVPs for Jazz Nights are handled exclusively through The Jazz Exchange. Guests who RSVP directly with the venue will be seated towards the back of the venue, and their seating may not be near or have a clear view of the live music.

Reservations are held for the first 20 minutes of the event start time. If your party has not arrived within that window, seating will be released to walk-in guests.
