THE CONSEQUENCES | High Desert Cosmic Americana From Truth or Consequences, NM — out to wherever the road goes There’s a sound that could only come from the high desert, and The Consequences have been hauling it across the Southwest one unforgettable night at a time. They call themselves a two piece trio. Once you hear them, you’ll stop questioning the math. Chris Gennari (guitar, banjo, vocals) closed his business, drove cross-country in a van, landed in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and had joined a band by day four. He convinced them to change the name before the first gig. The Consequences were born. Trained under Johnny Hiland and Redd Volkaert of Merle Haggard’s band, with credits ranging from opening for Daryl Hall and Booker T. Jones to a banjo jingle in national advertising, Chris is the rare player who can make a Telecaster cry and a banjo swing in the same song. T. Xiques (6-string bass, foot percussion) is one of those musicians other musicians talk about in hushed tones. Mentored by Jack DeJohnette in high school. Berklee College of Music on scholarship. Three years on the road with Savoy Brown. Sessions and stages with Garth Hudson of The Band, Kaki King, John Medeski, Bad Brains, Jewel, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Ari Up of The Slits. Compositions featured on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. All of that, and he chose the high desert. Together they’ve built their trademark High Desert Cosmic Americana sound. Outlaw Country, bluegrass, jazz, hip-hop, and bolero colliding at highway speed until it all makes perfect sense. Voted Best Band in Sierra County. Over 250 performances in, and no two shows are ever the same. Their debut release Can’t See Me drops July 4th. Come hear it live first. Come easy. Stay late. | @consequencesmusic | TorConsequences@gmail.com | 575-418-3599
