Meet award-winning author and illustrator Raul the Third at the Dorris Van Doren Library on Saturday, July 5 from 2 PM to 3 PM.
Award-Winning Illustrator and Author: Raúl the Third is a New York Times bestselling and multiple Pura Belpré Award-winning artist. He has won the Pura Belpré Illustrator Award for books like ¡Vamos! Let’s Go Eat and Lowriders to the Center of the Earth. He has also been nominated for the Texas BlueBonnet award.
“World of ¡Vamos!” Series: He is the author and illustrator of the popular “World of ¡Vamos!” series of bilingual children’s books, which includes titles like ¡Vamos! Let’s Go to the Market and ¡Vamos! Let’s Go Eat. This series has been recognized with multiple Pura Belpré awards and honors.
