They’re back! Looney Tunes cartoons have been a staple of our free Plaza Days programs since the early days of the Plaza Classic. We take a break from them now and then, including a three-year break that began in 2023. Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird and other favorite Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies characters return in this program that features nine cartoons by Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng, Robert Clampett and Arthur Davis released between 1944, during World War II, and 1957. It includes Chuck Jones’ One Froggy Evening, which none other than Steven Spielberg called “the Citizen Kane of the animated short.” Also in the program: Little Red Riding Rabbit; Mouse Wreckers; Back Alley Oproar; The Big Snooze; Feed the Kitty; Birds Anonymous; Rabbit Seasoning; and Duck Dodgers and the 24 1/2th Century. — Doug Pullen
