You’ll begin in our Texas Tumbleweeds 8-week training program, where you’ll learn: Forward and backward skating How to stop safely Safe falling techniques How to take and give hits Basic derby rules and track awareness Once Captains determine a skater is safe and confident with the basic skills, they’ll move into our Level 2 training group, Deuces Wild, where they continue building skills and preparing for future team placement. Everyone progresses at their own pace—some skaters may need more than 8 weeks to advance, and that’s completely okay.
