In collaboration with the El Paso Museum of History, Cantareras invites you to a special two-day workshop where tradition, history, and creativity come together.
On Day 1, participants will be guided by the museum through the historic and spiritual significance of copal, used for centuries in ceremony and ritual. Afterwards, you’ll begin building your very own copalero (incense burner) using black clay. On Day 2, you’ll return to decorate and personalize your piece, creating a functional work of art that carries both meaning and memory.
All materials and firings included Pieces will be ready for pick up between 2 - 2 ½ weeks after the workshop.
