OVERVIEW This is a 3-day improv workshop led by actress, comedian, and trained improviser Jeni Robins, focused on the fundamentals of improv comedy. It’s designed for beginners, but also great for performers who want to loosen up, get out of their head, and sharpen their instincts. Each day is 3 hours of hands-on work, and it all builds toward a live show at the end. What You’ll Work On Over the two days, you’ll get into the core ideas that make improv work: Learning how to say “yes, and” and actually mean it Building scenes from nothing Listening and reacting in the moment Making strong choices on stage Creating characters and committing to them Working with a group instead of overthinking everything Finding what’s funny naturally How It Runs This isn’t a lecture — you’ll be up, moving, and participating the whole time. Expect a mix of: Warm-ups Improv games Scene work Group exercises Real-time feedback and adjustments No experience needed. Just show up ready to try Showcase On Day 3 , everyone performs in a live improv show at Rosewood. You’ll take what you worked on and put it in front of a real crowd. It’s low-pressure, fun, and honestly the best part of the whole thing. Who It’s For Anyone brand new to improv Stand-ups who want to get better at crowd work or loosen up Actors or performers looking to be more natural on stage People who just want to try something different Registration Only 16 spots available to keep the group small and give everyone real stage time. Once it fills up, that’s it. Grab your spot and come play! Participants under the age of 18 are welcome to attend with parent or guardian consent. Please note that this workshop takes place in a bar environment and may include improvisational scenes with adults, which can involve mature language or themes. A signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian is required prior to participation, and parental presence is strongly recommended.
