Set sail for creativity and engineering in this epic design challenge!
Guests will design, build, and test their own miniature boats using a variety of maker materials while exploring the science of buoyancy, balance, and motion. From speedy racers to heavy-duty cargo ships, every creation will be put to the test to see which designs float, move, and perform the best.
Blending problem-solving, experimentation, and friendly competition, this workshop encourages young makers to think like real engineers as they prototype, improve, and reimagine their boats. Perfect for curious builders of all ages, The Great Boat Build Off! is a splash-filled adventure in creativity, teamwork, and innovation.
Spaces are limited, ages 8+, sign up in person with Fab Lab El Paso staff starting at 12:30pm.
