Flags are powerful symbols of place and identity. Led by exhibit artist Eva Gabriella Flynn of Chihua.Chuco.Cruceñas, this workshop invites participants to use fabric, markers, scissors, and no-sew techniques to create a flag that represents themselves. The lesson is introduced with examples of how flags have been used as symbols and artworks and incorporates discussions of symbolism and iconography.
📣Participants are encouraged to bring their own fabrics or clothing to recycle into banners and flags.
