Below is a proposed itinerary for the session:

• 15 min: Introductions and circle of gratitude
• 15 min: History and uses of cochineal
• 15 min: Overview of mordanting and types of fabrics used for natural dyes (fabrics pre-mordanted)
• 20 min: Preparing the cochineal concentrate bath using a molcajete and water
• 30 min: Explanation of diverse solutions and reactions, plus preparing different dye baths
• 1 hour: Hands-on project work using techniques such as shibori/folding, tie-dye, and creating a catalog of color ranges
• 25 min Explanation on fabric care, washing instructions + dry instructions
