We are just around the corner from the 4th Annual Celebration of Bagpipes (CoB4) on May 16, 2025, at Bel Air. CoB4 is going to be another Music Festival located in Bel Air’s courtyard and will feature several local bands along with the great bagpipe sounds from around the region, and of course, BA’s #bigredpipeband.
This year’s event will be a full music festival held in Bel Air’s courtyard, featuring popular local bands, talented performers, food trucks, venders and activity booths from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Gates will open at 1:30 PM, with live music beginning at 2:00 PM.
The festival will showcase performances from Bel Air’s feeder schools, Bel Air’s Jazz Band, Eddie and the Cruisers, and The Tim Thompson and Burt Ferguson Duo, with Rhapsody headlining the evening.
Our Salute to Bagpipes will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by Rhapsody closing out the night with their performance starting at 8:00 PM.
Funds raised from CoB4 will support the John Estes Scholarship Fund, which helps a deserving piper or drummer continue their education after graduation. The scholarship also highlights the rich tradition of Bel Air’s Bagpipe Band and raises awareness of the band’s important contributions not only to Bel Air High School, but also to the City of El Paso and the broader Southwest region.
Bel Air is the only public high school in Texas with a bagpipe band and one of only a handful in the United States, making this program a unique and valued musical tradition.
