Adobe Class for Kids – Summer Camp at Magoffin Home State Historic Site!

Looking for a fun and educational summer activity for your child? Bring them to the Magoffin Home State Historic Site for our Adobe Class for Kids, where they’ll discover the art and science behind one of the oldest building techniques in the Southwest!

Event Dates: • Thursday, June 12, 2025 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (7-9 Year Olds) • Friday, June 20, 2025 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (10-12 Year Olds)

What to Expect: • Hands-on experience making and shaping adobe bricks. • Learn about the history and importance of adobe architecture. • Interactive activities designed to spark creativity and curiosity. • A chance to explore the beautiful Magoffin Home, a stunning adobe structure dating back to the 1870s.

$10 per participant. Space is limited! RSVP/Prepayment Required.

Give your child a memorable summer experience where they’ll get their hands a little dirty while learning a lot about history, architecture, and craftsmanship. Make sure to dress them in clothes they can get dirty. Snacks and Water will be provided. Please bring your own hat, sunblock, and bug repellent.
