Preservation Texas opened its West Texas Heritage Center in downtown El Paso in March, 2025.
Preservation Texas developed an inaugural exhibit focusing on the 1936 Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) photographs taken by San Antonio architect Marvin Eickenroht (1898-1969), featuring churches and residences in the West Texas communities of El Paso, San Elizario, Ysleta, and Socorro.
The exhibit will showcase ten (10) high-resolution photographs with accompanying text. The center will have Preservation Texas merchandise available for purchase.
The Center is open Tuesdays-Saturdays 10am-4pm and the exhibit will be up through mid September.
