Join us for a special screening of Abuelita’s Kitchen: Stories from the Borderlands and preview a taste of San Elizario’s upcoming Mija Eatery and Community Kitchen by Chef Enrique Lozano.
This half-hour episode, one of three (El Paso, Los Angeles and Tucson), was masterfully crafted by Dr. Meredith E. Abarca as a glimpse into our own shared experiences of the love, learning and tradition only our abuelitas could serve up.
Chef Enrique Lozano has chosen San Elizario as the home of his next, much anticipated endeavor and he’ll be serving up tastings inspired by the dishes the abuelitas present in the episode.
And it’s all FREE! So bring your family and enjoy an evening of honoring the abuelitas–and the food–that have shaped us all. (Doors open at 7pm, screening at 7:30pm.)
