It’s fun, it’s exciting, and it’s official! La Nube is the name of El Paso’s brand-new children's museum and science center. Get ready for an adventure like no other. Located at 201 W Main Dr in the heart of downtown El Paso, La Nube is ready to welcome explorers of all ages. With thrilling learning adventures spread across four levels and a variety of interactive events and activities, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
Kids of all ages can let their imaginations run wild and experience epic learning adventures across four floors of fantastic exhibits, all linked by an impressive 50-foot tall climber. The best part? There’s no right or wrong way to explore La Nube. Dive into nine themed learning zones where you can explore, build, test, problem-solve, and play. With a mix of permanent exhibits and ever-changing activities, each visit is an exciting, new experience.
Check out the Our Sky exhibit where you can predict tornadoes, typhoons, and tsunamis, or even build a sustainable city to withstand disasters. Want to gaze at the stars? You can do that, too! For the little ones, there’s the Desert Bloom exhibit, inspired by the Chihuahuan Desert. It’s a cozy, shoes-off zone where infants and toddlers ages 0-3 can crawl, climb, touch, and listen in a safe, quiet space.
And that’s just the beginning! Explore 3D printing, constructing habitats, robotics, and so much more. Every visit to La Nube is a new adventure waiting to happen.
The concept for La Nube began to form after the City of El Paso's quality of life bond passed in 2012 and included funds for a children's museum. The City of El Paso, the El Paso Community Foundation, and other regional stakeholders collaborated to make this project a real community endeavor. La Nube has expanded into a bilingual, immersive, and interactive learning center for individuals and families of all ages, primarily thanks to this partnership and the support of the community. Parents, teachers, therapists, and other community members volunteered their knowledge about El Paso’s culture and values, as well as important aspects of child development, during the planning process.
La Nube offers more than just engaging exhibits; they have a variety of exciting, hands-on programs designed to inspire minds through play and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), regardless of age or interest. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:
• Intersession Programs Get ready for STEAM adventure spanning five days! The intersession camp pushes participants to step outside of their comfort zones, work through real-world problems, and develop their leadership abilities across borders. You won't want to miss this incredible study of math, science, technology, engineering, and the arts.
• Summer Camps Summer of STEAM 2025 will take place in June and July! K–12 students can access the summer series Monday through Friday. It's a great method to extend the summer's learning and enjoyment.
• Free Community Workshops Visit the “Challenge It” learning zone to engage in makerspace activities throughout the year, 3-D printing, and even more! To top it off, it's free admission for all community workshops. It's an awesome chance to explore new abilities and let your creative side run wild.
