El Paso Holocaust Museum & Study Center is honored to commemorate Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Days of Remembrance). Each year, museums, community organizations, schools, and military units commemorate the cataclysmic events of the Holocaust, memorialize the millions of victims, and honor the survivors. On April 23, El Paso Holocaust survivors, their children and grandchildren will share their memories and poignant stories of the Holocaust. Eleven memorial candles will be lit – one for every million lives stolen by the Nazi regime. The theme for EPHM’s 2017 Yom HaShoah is “Remember. Reflect. Respond.” On this day, it is not only imperative to remember and reflect on the history and impact of the Holocaust, but also to respond, to act in the face of inhumanity and injustice today. El Paso Holocaust Museum invites the community to join in memorializing the tragedy of the Holocaust, and honoring the survivors and their descendants, while also taking a stand against bigotry and intolerance. There is no charge to attend, and all are invited.
