Ricardo (Rick) Quezada speaks on “The History, Culture and Customs of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo” for the El Paso Archaeological Society at 2:00 pm on May 21, 2016. In the lecture Mr. Quezada will give a history of the Tigua Tribe from the time that his people lived in the Albuquerque area to the Pueblo Revolt and to their arrival here in El Paso. He will also focus on the traditional form of government. Ricardo (Rick) Quezada is a tribal member of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo. He has served as a traditional leader for the Pueblo and is currently employed by the Pueblo with over 25 years experience in the maintenance field. He recently finished an undergraduate Anthropology degree from UTEP.
