Several of the local people who participated in the making of the Netflix hit series TexMex Motors, which debuted at No. 6 on the streamer on June 9, will be on hand for a screening of the pilot episode and a Q&A. The show’s premise is similar to the house-flipping shows that were popular a few years ago. El Paso’s Scooter Carrea travels to Juarez to find and purchase beat-up classic cars for a good price, then hauls them back to a garage (temporarily set up on Missouri Street near downtown) where Mike Coy and his crew of specializes transforms them and sells them for a sizeable profit.
