History Hike to the July 1944 B-24 Crash Site and Memorial

This hike is led by Dr. Eric Kappus and Angus Johnston. It is co-sponsored by the Tom Lea Institute, as a part of their 2019 WWII theme. You will hike up to the July 1944 crash site of a B-24 bomber. This is a strenuous 4-hours hike over difficult terrain including loose rock. Do not attempt this hike unless you are in good physical condition and have had experience hiking off-trail. Meet at the intersection of Kentucky and Memphis Ave. at 9am. (MAP) Make sure you are hydrated before the hike and bring plenty of water, snacks, a hat, and wear sunscreen.
