El Paso Live is pleased to announce FirstLight Federal Credit Union as the title sponsor, for the fourth year in a row, of the 14th season of Alfresco! Fridays. The celebrated concert series produced by El Paso Live, is due to kick off on May 6. The FREE concerts will take place every Friday evening at the Convention Center Plaza in Downtown El Paso, starting at 6PM. Concerts will not take place on June 17 or September 2.

Patrons have an informal opportunity to enjoy a diverse mix of the best regional talent. Alfresco! Fridays features Salsa, Jazz, Cumbia, Country, Reggae, Classic Rock, Blues and other popular music genres. Attendees are reminded that no outside food, beverages or pets are allowed.

About The Birdogs The Birdogs have been tearing it up since 1987 covering standard classics by artists such as The Doors, CCR, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, as well as lesser known artists like The Blasters, Paladins, Trashmen, and The Ramones. Also included in their song list are Blues, Honky Tonk, Rockabilly, Classic Cumbias and old Rancheras. Their current lineup includes original members Gino Forti- lead vocals, Jay Olivas- guitar, Bernie Carrillo- drums, and current bass player Brett Multz. Rockin’ and rollin’ the way it’s supposed to be done- with heart and soul- the band has developed a strong following along the way. No doubt about it, their aim has always been one thing, and that is to entertain, have fun, and leave it all on the dance floor. When asked what type of band they are, the simple answer would be “the best damn garage band in town!”… and they’re OK with that!
