Local youth groups are invited to enter the El Paso Youth Making A Difference Contest. Youth groups can share how they make a difference and take an online pledge to promote youth volunteerism for an opportunity to win a mini-grant to fund their service project idea and a chance to win prizes. The El Paso Global Youth Service Month committee, Young Women’s Preparatory Network are collaborating with Youth Service America (YSA) to encourage area youth to get involved in volunteering. Youth can share their ideas and plans for volunteering. We believe that youth, communities, and democracy thrive when everyone participates and works together for the common good. Your commitment to creating a culture of participation is greatly appreciated! In El Paso, we are trying to encourage local youth to get involved with volunteerism. Groups throughout the greater borderland region can take this pledge to show us how you are going to help promote volunteering among youth. We invite youth, groups, and clubs to join us with the goal of increasing the national youth volunteer rate to 50%. By becoming a 50by250 Partner, you are joining a network of organizations sharing resources and information to build organizational capacity and increase youth opportunities.
