WHAT: International Day of the Girl Celebration
WHY: Join us for a fun girl empowerment celebration. This event is focused on encouraging girls to build confidence, discover their voice, express themselves and boost their self-esteem. The event will present inspirational messages and uplifting workshops led by local female leaders. The girl empowerment workshops will focus on confidence and leadership as well as interactive games and activities. The session topics explore topics such body image, confidence, leadership, self-care, self-expression and more. Girls will explore positive creative expression forms. Girls are invited to join us to unleash their passion, potential, power, and possibility at this festive event.
WHEN: October 12 from 10am to 1pm
WHERE: 1145 Westmoreland Dr
WHO: The event is open to the public and geared towards pre-teen and teen girls. The event is hosted in partnership with El Paso Health, Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas, Mujeres Poderosas, Proyecto Mama and Junior Woman’s Club of El Paso. Local community groups concerned with girls’ issues will be featured in a resource fair.
