The Rubin Center for the Visual Arts and EPISD Community Schools invites you to take part in a summer youth and community zine workshop. Create your own zine and have your work be a part of the Conscious Barrio Youth and Community Zine that commemorates Bowie High School’s 100-year anniversary and its community. Students will get to learn and work alongside teaching artists as they explore the use of design, text, printmaking, and photography to create their very own zine and a community zine. Students will get to take home their own zines to give away and/or trade, as well as receive a copy of the Conscious Barrio Youth and Community Zine.
July 12, 13, and 14 Ages from 12 - 18 years old . . . El Rubin Center for the Visual Arts y EPISD Community Schools los invitan a participar en un taller de verano para jóvenes y la Comunidad sobre aprender a crear una revista. Los estudiantes aprenderán y trabajarán junto con artistas mientras exploran el uso del diseño, el texto, el grabado y la fotografía para crear su propio zine y un zine comunitario. Los estudiantes podrán llevarse a casa sus propias revistas para regalar y/o intercambiar, así como también recibirán una copia de Conscious Barrio Youth and Community Zine.
