Can your child survive the desert elements and learn how to protect themselves at night from the desert cold? Do you think they already know the uses for a piece of rope that is two feet long? How about the different plants in the desert that are edible, and which ones are toxic?
This fun day of challenges and activities is designed for children ages 5-12 years of age and will take them throughout Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site as they learn the basics of desert survival. The event will begin at 8 AM and continue throughout the course of the day. If you are wishing to participate then please arrive between 7-7:30 Am for check-in.
