Shakespeare on-the-Rocks will hold auditions for its first Shakespeare for Kids production on Friday, March 2nd and Saturday, March 3rd, from 4 to 6 pm in the Cafeteria Annex at the Valle Verde Campus (Building C) of the El Paso Community College.
We are looking for actors in middle and high school. No advance preparation is necessary: all candidates will read from available scripts.
The Shakespeare for Kids performances, directed by Vanessa Keyser and featuring abridged versions of Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, will be on Friday, April 13 and Saturday April 14, at 7:00 pm.
Shakespeare on-the-Rocks is launching this new initiative for young people as part of its 30th anniversary celebration. It highlights two of the three plays in the season, which will also include The Comedy of Errors. The 2018 30th season will be at the Chamizal National Memorial from August through September. Exact dates will be announced soon.
