Adán Vallecillo: Tiempo Libre Rubin Gallery
Including work from 2010 to the present, Tiempo Libre surveys Honduran artist Adán Vallecillo’s prolific career in his first solo presentation at a U.S. museum. Vallecillo’s projects bring together visual traditions of Western Modernism with its ecological implications for communities in Central and South America and the Caribbean, in an often searingly-funny call and response.
Presentiments L-Gallery
Including video and photographic work by artists from Latin(x) America, Presentiments takes the weather as a starting point to ask questions about how humans inhabit the world and how we make sense of our landscapes: national, geographic, and emotional. This exhibition is co-curated by artist Adán Vallecillo and Rubin Center Curator Laura Augusta.
