The annual tax-free weekend expo is Saturday, Aug. 11, at Cielo Vista Mall, featuring fashion shows, exhibitions, various vendors and more. Sponsored by Ysleta ISD and Western Tech. From 8 to 10 a.m. first two thousand students ages 4-18 wearing a school shirt or school ID will receive a free backpack filled with school supplies courtesy of Ysleta ISD and community partners. The general public can begin to line up starting at 7 a.m. at the Mall’s main (south) entrance between James Avery and Starbucks. The line for the backpacks also will begin there.
