Level 1 Lean Beef
This ride stays on the lower slopes of the mountains, but offers great views of some of the best scenery in the Franklin Mountains. The Lazy Cow and Mad Cow trails offer a fun introduction to mountain biking El Paso-style. Estimated ride time is two to three hours.
Level 2 Filet Mignon
A lean and not-so-mean route on some signature east side trails plus an opportunity to go higher on the mountain. Longer climbs are rewarded with swooping descents through beautiful Chihuahuan Desert landscapes. Estimated ride time is two to three hours.
Level 3 Beastie Boy
Get high on the eastern slopes of the Franklin Mountains with this challenging ride. A long early climb is rewarded with sweeping views and tight, technical downhills. Chances are you’ve never seen this much vegetation in the desert before.
Level 4 Beast of the East
A big loop on the east side of the mountains with 100-mile views, virtual forests of cactus and other desert plants. Long climbs and descents. The light on the mountains is stunning in the early morning. Estimated ride time is four to five hours.
Level 4 Big Tommy
The biggest loop through the gorgeous Tom Mays Unit of the park. Texas, New Mexico and Mexico are all in view as you enjoy long technical descents and the inevitable climbs that go with them. A true desert wilderness experience right on the edge of town. Estimated ride time is four to five hours.
Level 5 Are You Kidding Me
