Creative Kids Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational community-based art agency located in El Paso, Texas along the U.S./Mexico border region. The mission of Creative Kids is to extend the reach of arts and digital media resources to various student population groups through the promotion and demonstration of the power of the arts as important communication tools for success in modern day life. Creative Kids is currently celebrating thirteen years of empowering the youth in our community through the arts. Through a varied array of “hands-on” working assignments through the arts, Creative Kids is able to reach over 600 youth throughout the year through various programs housed under Creative Kids. This includes: disadvantaged youth through Project ABLE (Art Brokers Learning Experiences); children battling cancer through Project AIM (Arts in Motion); and children with disabilities through Project MAP (Making the Arts Possible). Creative Kids also offers program to the general public who may not fall under the programs listed above through both Project SAC (Saturday Arts Classes) and Little Picassos.

The 92-acre park is home to a Natatorium that houses a 50-Meter competition-ready pool with all the required amenities to be able to have regional meets at this facility including spectator seating for 800 spectators and sufficient pool deck area for 400 competitors, warm-up and cool-down pool, office, trainer rooms, locker areas, public restroom facilities, pool equipment room, janitor’s closet, storage, IT rooms and other support rooms. The recreational pool (Aquatic Center) area consists of an outdoor pool with water slides/tube slides, a climbing wall, lazy river, splash pads, and other water amenities including family picnic areas and other shaded areas. The third major component of Phase 1 was the Community Center. This multi-generational center will cater to both families and seniors for recreation and indoor sports.
The El Paso Chihuahuas are El Paso’s minor league baseball team in the Pacific Coast League. They are the Triple-A affiliate for the San Diego Padres. The team plays its home games at Southwest University Park.
In 2019, El Paso joined 34 other U.S. Cities as well as two in Canada in hosting a USL Championship team. The USL Championship team in El Paso brings people to Downtown and adds to the vibrancy and Downtown revitalization that started with a plan – nearly twenty years ago.

Enjoy the Big Corn Maze with several interactive game stations! Venture through a Renewable Energy adventure as you navigate the maze! For the smaller ones in the group, Crazy Eddie’s Kiddie Maze is just the right size or catch a ride from Pumpkin Station to pick your own pumpkin from Patsy’s Pumpkin Patch! Duck races, cow train, pedal carts, slippery slides, tire pyramid, face-painting booth and food and drinks from their delicious Truck Wagons! Maze is open Saturdays and Sundays. They are currently finalizing their plans for their modified 2020 season and will post information on their website near the end of September. This interactive water play area features dancing water, gushers, spray tunnels, tower sprays, pop-ups and more. These different water patterns emitted by the spring are not only fun to watch but great for families to splash around in, relax and cool down.

The La Union Maze provides visitors with 13 acres of fun to wander in! Take advantage of this unique outdoor family fun activity as you journey through the field of this incredible crop. Pumpkin patch, wagon rides, flower maze, cow train, kids zip line, and the pallet-haunted maze. Maze is open Friday-Sun. Staff is working hard fixing, growing and planting as they prepare for an amazing family friendly experience for all. Tiny Xplorers is an interactive, hands-on learning center where young children can make meaningful discoveries that match their individual interests while playing with their parents, independently, or with their peers. Tiny Xplorers has 8 different imaginative play areas that provide young children with critical learning experiences that engage their minds, hearts, and bodies, while promoting parent-child interactions for improved gross motor skills, peer group leadership, and cognitive development. At Tiny Xplorers’s imaginative play areas, children will be able to tap into their innate curiosity about the living world through exploration and inquiry. We augment their curiosity by turning the why into what or how.
The park is packed with family thrill rides and attractions, such as the popular steel roller coaster El Bandido, and Tsunami that shoots up a massive 50 feet generating an enormous 70 ft. tidal wave that refreshes onlookers! The $15.5 million dollar Natatorium was funded through the 2012 Quality of Life Bond Program and features an Olympic-sized swimming housed within a 35,000 square foot facility, which is designed and constructed to be certified LEED Silver. The facility provides a competition quality natatorium for the citizens of El Paso to enjoy and also has free Wi-Fi provided by Digital El Paso. A great time can be had by all at the Westside Natatorium as pool parties are a great place for everyone to enjoy and have a great time.
This series of 13 natural-turf fields is prime for football, soccer, or softball use. Permanent concessions and public restroom facilities are just the beginning. This 2009-constructed complex pans 57 acres in far west El Paso. With more than 1,000 free parking spaces, it’s a natural choice for tournaments.
