Tinajas in the arroyos created an ideal location for seasonal habitation by people in the past who left some artwork. This is a relatively easy out and back hike of 7 miles in our new National Monument with petroglyphs at two sites. Your hike leader and interpreter is Dr. John Walton, walton@utep.edu and you can contact him for more information.

Meet at 9AM at turnoff to Corralitos Road. Go to Las Cruces, take I-10 towards Deming, exit at Airport exit, go west on north side of interstate frontage road to Corralitos Road, County Road C009.

Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes. Wear sunscreen. Use a hat. Bring a mask.
