The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in partnership with AT&T “It Can Wait” is bringing a distracted driving virtual reality experience to El Paso to educate Texans on the dangers of distracted driving.
In recognition of National Distracted Driving Month, TxDOT is launching its “Heads up, Texas” campaign to remind drivers that their undivided attention to the road could save a life. With state legislation passing a texting-while-driving ban effective Sept. 1, 2017 – making it illegal to read, write or send a text while driving in Texas – TxDOT and AT&T It Can Wait will bring the VR distracted driving experience to 18 cities in Texas this April to educate and connect with local communities.
