A partial solar eclipse will be visible on August 21 at White Sands. Join rangers in the visitor center theater to learn about the history, including many misconceptions, of solar eclipses and ho they work. After the program, rangers will have a viewing station with information for viewing solar eclipses safely in front of the visitor center until the end of the eclipse at 1:15 pm. Hands-on craft activities for kids will be available from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm. Reservations are not required or accepted.
