El Paso Chopin Piano Festival celebrates its Silver Anniversary this year! For 25 years, El Paso has hosted some of the finest pianists in the world. This season, the festival features pianists Josh Wright, Mei-Ting Sun, and El Paso’s own Lucy Scarbrough in three separate concerts in September and October.
Billboard #1 artist Dr. Josh Wright has delighted audiences across the United States and in Europe. The Washington Post described him as a pianist possessing “rarer gifts – touch, intelligence and the ability to surprise.” His self-titled album “Josh Wright” topped the Billboard Classical Traditional chart just three weeks after its release in April 2011. Josh was a prizewinner in many competitions, including the 2015 National Chopin Competition, where he also won the Mazurka prize.
