Discuss pluton and formation contacts, folding, faulting, fossils and strata with field trip leader, Eddie Zuniga, EPCC/UTEP Geology Graduate. There will be some moderate hiking on unstable terrain. So wear good hiking shoes, bring a hat, use sunscreen and bring a minimum of 1 bottle of water.
To get to the Cristo Rey parking lot, exit Executive Blvd. via Meas or I-10 and go west to Paisano. Go northwest on Paisano to Anapra/McNutt Rd. Follow signs to Cristo Rey Rd. After crossing two railroad tracks, turn left and continue to the Cristo Rey lot for about 150 yards or locate with your Google Maps app. For more information, contact the field trip coordinator, Rob Rohrbaugh at email@example.com or text/call 925-395-7693.
This is a Geo-Ventures El Paso event co-sponsored by Celebration of Our Mountains
