Written and directed by David Koepp, it is based on the novella Secret Window, Secret Garden by Stephen King. A man named John Shooter accuses Mort of plagiarizing his short story “Sowing Season”. Upon reading Shooter’s manuscript, Mort discovers its resemblance to his own story, “Secret Window”, except for the ending.
