“If you build it, he will come.” While walking through his Iowa cornfield one evening, novice farmer Ray Kinsella hears a disembodied voice heralding this message. So begins the search for the meaning, which leads to a touching and heart-felt realization. Written and directed by Phil Alden Robinson who adapted W. P. Kinsella’s novel Shoeless Joe, FIELD OF DREAMS proved hugely popular, touching the world with its message of family togetherness.
