Birding Hike - Beer Flight - Brewery Tour - Dinner - Raffle - Auction
Looking for a fun way to celebrate the holidays, learn something new, and support your favorite local organizations? Look no further!! Join us for a journey through the exciting new natural and historic preservation practices of the Socorro area via a guided birding tour at Rio Bosque Wetlands Park followed by an exciting round of talks, tours, tastings, dinner, and activities at the nearby Three Missions Brewery. Come on out and enjoy flights of different kinds (birds and beer) to celebrate the 4-year anniversary of our monthly Insights Nerd Night series with this special adult edition Nerd Night event.

Nerd Night Agenda - This Special Nerd Night Event will encompass a variety of activities taking place at two of Socorro’s hidden gems.
1) The event will begin with a guided birding hike/tour at Rio Bosque Wetlands Park which will take you on a journey through this unique river valley ecosystem. The hike will give a brief introduction to the park — its history, the ecosystem-restoration work in progress and attendees will have a unique opportunity to view some of the majestic resident and migrating bird species.
2) The event will then continue as we caravan a short way over to Three Missions Brewery. There we will have dinner provided by Tacos El Gomz, talks about sustainability and preservation of the historical area, beer tastings, and a tour of the brewery.
