Run International 10K
November 16, 2019
Downtown El Paso and Juarez
The Run Internacional - The U.S. - México 10K is more than a race. It’s about the unique greatness of the largest borderland in the world. It illustrates how ONE community, united by an international boundary line, blends itself into ONE region.
The race starts in El Paso next to the Stanton Street Port of Entry, corner of S. Mesa St. and Olivas V. Aoy Ave. It treks by Southwest University Park (home of the El Paso Chihuahuas baseball team), the redesigned San Jacinto Plaza, the Albert Armendariz Sr. United States Courthouse, through Segundo Barrio, then over the Stanton Street bridge into Ciudad Juarez. In Juarez, the route passes Juárez’s city hall; the Bullring-Plaza de Toros Alberto Balderas; the Old Customs House, where the first U.S.-Mexico presidential meeting took place between William H. Taft and Porfirio Díaz in 1909 (it now houses MUREF), the Mexican Revolution Museum; the Misión de Guadalupe (where Ciudad Juárez was founded in 1659); and the Juarez Cathedral nearby. For 2019, we will have an energetic and lively finish line in Ciudad Juárez outside of the MUREF, next to the Monumento JRZ. Get ready for an exciting finish!
