The USMX International 10K is more than a race. It’s about the unique greatness of the largest borderland in the world. It illustrates how ONE community, united by an international boundary line, blends itself into ONE region, Region UNO.

The race starts in El Paso at the International Bridges Department, corner of S. Mesa St. and Olivas V. Amy Av. It treks by Southwest University Park (home of the El Paso Chihuahuas baseball team), the redesigned San Jacinto Plaza, the Albert Armendariz Sr. United States Courthouse, through Segundo Barrio, then over the Stanton Street bridge into Ciudad Juarez.

In Juarez, the route passes Juárez’s city hall; the Bullring-Plaza de Toros Alberto Balderas; the Old Customs House, where the first U.S.-Mexico presidential meeting took place between William H. Taft and Porfirio Díaz in 1909 (it now houses MUREF), the Mexican Revolution Museum; the Misión de Guadalupe (where Ciudad Juárez was founded in 1659); and the Juarez Cathedral nearby. For the last leg of the run, marathoners will turn on Avenida Juarez, past the world famous Kentucky Club, then climb to the top of the Paso Del Norte Bridge for a wonderful and ONE-derful international finish.
