The Paso del Norte Trail wants to hear from YOU! Join the Paso del Norte Trail for Paving the Way: Community Meeting. The goal of the meeting is to gather valuable feedback from the community on the needs and priorities for the development of the Paso del Norte Trail. During the meeting we will be providing an overview of the trail, discussing trail development, and gathering feedback.

The community meeting will be taking place on Monday, July 22 in the leisure room of the Valle Bajo Community Center and Library at 6:00 pm. We encourage everyone to invite friends, family, and neighbors to join us. Your participation and support help continue to make the Paso del Norte Trail a trail for everyone. We look forward to seeing you all there!

The Paso del Norte Trail is a community-driven, collaborative effort initiated by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation to develop a 75-mile county-wide trail. Currently, 20-miles of the trail are complete within the Rio Grande Riverpark Trail and the Playa Drain Trail segments. The Rio Grande Riverpark Trail is a 10.9-mile trail in the Upper Valley from Vinton to Country Club Road. The Playa Drain Trail is a 6.85-mile trail in the Mission Valley from Ascarate Park to Capistrano Park. The goal is to create a regionally significant landmark that promotes active transportation, preserves the history and culture of our region, highlights the Rio Grande River, supports economic development and ecotourism, provides educational and volunteer opportunities, and makes healthy living the easy choice for our unique, binational community.
