Introducing our Next Nerd Night on Friday, April 26th: Tales Too Weird To Be Told Think you know Magoffin history? Think again! Our next Nerd Night will take an unexpected journey through the untold tales of Magoffin Home, one of the most historic sites in El Paso. From half-dead servants to rabid cats, listen to a collection of surprising stories from three notorious history nerds while enjoying your own picnic under the stars.

Speakers [Machelle Wood] – Machelle is the Education and Public Event Coordinator at the Magoffin Home State Historic Site and general historic busybody. As a fan of the strange and unusual, Machelle will share stories of Nearly Dead Servants and Rabid Cats. [Jeffry Harris] – Widely considered Nerd Royalty, Jeff is the Site Manager of the Magoffin Home State Historic Site and Board Member for the Texas Association of Museums. Jeff helped write the book on how to run Historic House Museums. [Bernie Sargent] – The Chairman of the Board for the Trost Society and servant to boards for seven other El Paso nonprofit boards – the King of El Paso History needs almost no introduction: if you’ve ever taken a historic tour in El Paso, you’ve probably met Bernie!
