As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, take a step back in time and explore the different native plants that would have been used to make dietary staples before European wheat was introduced.

This cooking class explores the grains and other food staples that made up the “daily bread” of our ancestors here in the Chihuahuan Desert. Learn to make flour from different native plants and compare the taste of the baked goods to our modern versions.

Reservations required; to reserve your spot, call the office at (915) 444-9100.
