Six Guns & Shady Ladies, Old West Reenactment group hosts its 2nd annual celebration of cowboy culture beginning with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Richard White Park, in Anthony, Texas, with live music, petting zoo, hay rides, food, Old West displays and reenactment, “Young Cowpokes” costume contest, watermelon eating contest and more. The park is at 100 Richard White Road; from I-10, take Exit 0 and go west on Antonio Street. Franklin Street goes off the right, then immediately turn right on Richard White. Texas Legislature has designated the 4th Saturday in July as the National Day of the Cowboy.
