- Performances, in Spanish, are in the theater at the Chamizal, 800 S. San Marcial at 7:00 pm on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th and at 2:00 pm on Sunday, the 28th. Tickets are $10.00 general admission; $8 for seniors (65+), military, and students; and $6.00 for groups of 10 or more. They are available at the door starting one hour prior to the performance. For groups of 10 or more to take advantage of the special $6.00 rate, tickets must reserved in advance by calling 915-474-4275. Los Actores, El Paso’s Spanish language theater company, will present the classic Mexican drama Los Desarraigados on January 26-28, 2018 at the Chamizal National Memorial. Written by J. Humberto Robles sixty years ago, the play still resonates today. It tells the story of an attractive well-to-do young woman from Mexico City whose unexpected arrival in El Paso at the house of a working class Mexican American family forces them to confront their own identity and place in American society. The International Hispanic Cultural Institute (IHCI) is co-presenting the play.
