Lincoln Park Day

September 22, 2019
11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
4001 Durazno Ave

You are cordially invited to a Quinceanera this weekend. And while the festivities include food and music this one is more a laid-back grill out and chill out than an extravagant affair.

This Quince is in honor of Lincoln Park Day’s 15th birthday. The annual celebration of El Paso’s “Mexican American Culture” will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22nd at Lincoln Park, AKA Chicano Park.

Playing off the Quinceanera them, event organizers asking all young ladies who have recently celebrated theirs, to wear their dress - Damas and Chambelanes optional.

A Lowrider car show and a new mural honoring Mexican painter Frida Khalo will highlight this year’s festivities, according to the Lincoln Park Conservation Committee Facebook.

Other entertainment includes Matachines, live bands, a car show hosted by Latin Pride car club, and a “Lowrider” magazine Meet Up featuring the Lowrider Rig on display, per the event flyer.

This event is free to attend. Food and drinks will be sold, but if you want to picnic in the park, or grill out everyone involved is more than cool with that.
