Join expert nature photographers, Benny Pol, Liz DeMoultrie and Paul Hyder for a photo walk at the Nature Walk Trail in Tom Mays Park. (MAP to Tom Mays) Explore the beauty the Franklin Mountains, discuss nature photography techniques, camera equipment, and get helpful hints. This event will give you an introduction to capturing the beauty of our desert landscape. The walk will be at a slow pace on an unpaved trail and rocky terrain. We will make several stops along the ¾ mile loop trail to highlight the flora and fauna we encounter. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring water, sun protection, and your camera or smartphone. Bring a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available.

Reservations for Franklin Mountains State Park are required and should be made in advance online at https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com. We will follow COVID-19 rules and restrictions applicable on the event date.

This is a Green Hope Project co-sponsored event. For more information, contact the Outreach Coordinator, Benny Pol at benny.pol@gmx.net.
